Doppio successo Seat in terra giapponese sul tracciato di Okayama. In gara 1, trionfo di Rickard Rydell su Jorg Muller ed Andy Priaulx. Più indietro, a pagarne le conseguenze di una sciellerata partenza, Augusto Farfus, stesso discorso per Tarquini che perde altri 2 punti dal rivale in campionato, Yvan Muller.
In Gara 2 invece successo di Coronel su un Farfus scatenato, come le Bmw che si sono dimostrate le superiori del lotto. Terzo posto a sorpresa per Hernandez, che surclassa il rivale D’Aste, il quale ha dovuto fare i conti con un pneumatico fuori posto a causa di uno scontro con Monteiro a soli 2 giri dalla conclusione della corsa. Fuori Priaulx e Tarquini, quest’ultimo forzato. Yvan Muller così si porta a 14 punti di vantaggio dal rivale di casa italiano.
